ERP Functional Architect

The ERP Functional Architect is a senior delivery leader responsible for designing, validating, and delivering high-quality Odoo solutions that align with client business objectives and Novobi’s delivery standards. This role serves as the primary solution authority during Architect & Design and a key delivery leader through implementation.

As the Delivery counterpart to the Client Partner, the ERP Functional Architect ensures that what is sold can be delivered successfully, predictably, and at scale. This role balances deep solution design, client consultation, and delivery leadership while maintaining a strong focus on repeatable outcomes and delivery excellence.

Compensation: $100k – $130k/year

This compensation range applies to U.S.-based candidates. For candidates outside the U.S., compensation will be determined by location, experience, and market rates.

Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design Ownership

Lead detailed discovery and requirements definition during Architect & Design engagements.
Design end-to-end Odoo solution architectures aligned with client business goals and technical constraints.
Define scope boundaries, assumptions, dependencies, and risks clearly and explicitly.
Validate feasibility, complexity, and delivery implications of proposed solutions.

Delivery Leadership & Execution

Serve as a senior delivery leader during implementation, guiding configuration, customization, and integration efforts.
Ensure delivery aligns with agreed scope, architecture, and quality standards.
Partner with Project Managers to manage delivery risks, tradeoffs, and change requests.
Actively support change management and client enablement to drive adoption and success.

Client Consultation & Advisory

Operate as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders on process design, system capabilities, and best practices.
Translate business requirements into practical, scalable Odoo configurations.
Set realistic expectations with clients around system capabilities, tradeoffs, and constraints.
Maintain strong client communication within the delivery context.

Pre-Sales & Client Partner Collaboration

Collaborate closely with Client Partners during sales-qualified opportunities and A&D engagements.
Provide solution validation, effort estimates, and delivery risk assessment prior to proposal finalization.
Participate in client presentations to explain solution approach and delivery considerations.
Serve as a delivery gatekeeper to ensure scope accuracy before deals are closed.

This role supports sales—but does not own revenue targets or commercial negotiations.

Delivery Process & Capability Development

Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Novobi’s delivery methodologies.
Create and refine reusable delivery assets, templates, and accelerators.
Share lessons learned and best practices across delivery teams.
Mentor junior consultants and analysts, raising overall delivery capability.

Success Metrics

Accuracy and completeness of solution designs and requirements.
Predictability of delivery outcomes relative to sold scope.
Client satisfaction with delivery quality and solution effectiveness.
Reduction in scope gaps, rework, and post-close corrections.
Contribution to repeatable delivery processes and assets.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Computer Science, or a closely related field.
Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s or MBA) is strongly preferred.
5+ years of operational system implementation experience.
Proven track record leading Architect & Design engagements and complex implementations.
Strong functional knowledge across multiple ERP modules such as Odoo, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc. (e.g., Accounting, Inventory, Manufacturing, Sales, CRM).
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to business stakeholders.
Experience working in a consulting-led, client-facing environment.
