Odoo’s flexibility and rich features make it a great platform for integrated HR, finance and operational workflows. By connecting HR functions to time tracking and financial systems, Odoo Payroll helps businesses -- especially those having project-based or hourly-based payroll -- cut costs and enhance operational efficiency. No data entry nor integration with 3rd-party payroll solutions is needed and payroll-related information, such as employee information, employment information, commission information, and especially timesheet information, is seamlessly accessible from the Payroll app.
The system provides payroll tax calculations for the US and Canada, including multi-state taxation and reciprocity, as well as advanced payroll features, such as payroll automation, deduction management, project-based payment, etc.
In this talk, which is geared towards users and managers of financial and HR functions, especially in manufacturing and service companies, we will present how Odoo can be expanded to create an integrated payroll solution. We will also present a real-world case study about Inline Cleaning Systems (ICS), a US-based manufacturing company, who utilized Novobi’s Odoo Payroll in their all-in-one Engineer-to-Order (ETO) system.
Demand Driven Procurement: Smart Inventory
Procurement optimization is challenging at the best of times. It has now become a massive challenge as Covid-19 and international trade disputes disrupt both supply and demand patterns. Effective procurement depends on accurate and reliable demand forecasts that, in turn, depend on reliable and consistent data.
With a customer base that sells through multiple B2B and B2C channels and marketplaces, Novobi has witnessed large fluctuations in volume, with some cases jumping as much as by a factor of 30. In addition, longer lead times and difficulty making accurate demand forecasts means that maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction becomes a major concern.
Learn how Odoo is extended for procurement optimization through an introduction to demand forecasting and tips for advanced strategies inventory decisions. The talk will cover examples of procurement optimization and will provide valuable insights for business users and Odoo partners involved in managing supply chains, procurement and sales practices.
In order to stay competitive in the Industry 4.0 era and reach largely unpredictable consumers, retailers must increasingly expand their digital footprints across multiple sales channels, including e-commerce websites, marketplaces, and social commerce platforms. With the power of Odoo’s cross-channel integration, retailers have the ability to expand their reach while still utilizing the ease of operating within a single platform. Join us to learn how Odoo’s integrated platform can be used to centralize and simplify multichannel retail operations for greater ROI and sophisticated functionality.
We will present Novobi’s solutions to help online retailers list and sell their products the easiest way with Odoo: listing products to a new channel takes a few clicks, sales orders are synced automatically to Odoo, fulfillment information is synced back to sales channels in real time, and customer information is integrated across channels. The listing management functionalities retain Odoo central product catalog, while allowing channel-specific information for each listing.
This talk is for all business users, managers, and developers in the retail industry.
ArtNaturals Case Study
ArtNaturals, a fast growing multi-brand retailer that sells on over 30 B2B and B2C channels, needed a reliable system to scale to a multi-billion dollar business. With weekly volume in the tens-of-thousands of orders, including Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP) orders -- which require Amazon Prime delivery standards -- they needed high-performance fulfillment operations as well as highly-automated functions in all remaining operational verticals. The company decided to use Odoo due to its unparalleled flexibility and its ability to automate major functions for rapid scale. In addition, Odoo’s hosting flexibility allowed them to maximize uptime and scale architecture with the business needs.
Learn more about how ArtNaturals was able to achieve operational excellence on the Odoo platform with key insights on scalability for high-volume retail businesses, multichannel sales management, automated fulfillment operations, and analytics-based procurement optimization. This case study examines the unique power of Odoo’s integrated platform with specialized hosting to deliver enterprise-caliber solutions to almost any business.
Inline Cleaning Systems Case Study
Product lifecycle management (PLM) is a central component of the system that many manufacturing companies, particularly Engineer-to-Order (ETO) companies, use to control procurement of parts from suppliers as well as its intake of components from customers for planning, designing, and manufacturing products. With the need to produce high quality products faster and at a lower cost, companies that apply engineer-to-order must deploy a nimble and adaptive approach to the manufacturing process including a flexible BOM structure for frequent changes and reworks.
Learn how Odoo can be used to support greater flexibility in BOM synchronization, engineering change orders, and product traceability in sophisticated product lifecycle management for manufacturers through a case study on Inline Cleaning Systems (ICS). As a 30-year old engineer-to-order (ETO) business in the machinery industry, ICS constantly faces the challenge of producing high quality products faster and at a lower cost. Having migrated to Odoo for a next-generation all-in-one system to run their entire business, ICS also realized that Odoo would be able to provide support for ETO workflows in their manufacturing process.
The discussion will cover this specific use case for an integrated engineer-to-order workflow for ICS which included integration with SOLIDWORKS, project-based customer invoicing, and staff payroll. In addition to the case study, the discussion will provide valuable insights for developers and business users managing supply chain, warehousing, and manufacturing management.
